This week we are going to read some specific passages of Scripture as we prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Easter. As we celebrate Easter, we are celebrating the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us on the cross when He died for our sins and then He rose to life again on the third day, so that anyone who believes in Him will be saved in His Name. (John 3:16, Romans 10:9) 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 says, “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, KJV) Salvation in Jesus is a free gift from God that must be received by faith. (John 3:16, Romans 10:9)

Praise be to the Lord our God just as we read in 1 Peter1:3 which says, “ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” (1 Peter 1:3, KJV)

Let us enjoy this time in the Word of God as we prepare our hearts for Easter. Happy Easter to all! Jesus is risen!
