Do you feel as though you are at peace? Maybe you answered yes to this question. Let me ask again, do you have peace, true peace, peace in your inner being? Peace is not a superficial feeling or something that we can just decide we have. Peace isn’t something that we can bring about ourselves either. We are all imperfect people. We all long for peace! We need to learn why we do not naturally have peace and we also need to learn how we can receive true peace. Be encouraged my dear friends because you can receive true peace and today we are going to learn how to do just that!
No one is perfect. We all sin, each and every one of us. Romans 3:23 says that “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (NIV). Our sin separates us from God and our sin leads to death. (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 6:23) Our sin separates us from God and our sin keeps us from being at peace with God. Our sin prevents us from having true peace. Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NIV) Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins, He was buried and then He rose to life again conquering sin and death for all of eternity! (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (NIV) All who believe in Jesus receive eternal life in Him and they are eternally forgiven for all of their past, present and future sins in Jesus! All who believe in Jesus receive eternal peace with God through Jesus! Salvation for our souls is only found in Jesus. (Acts 4:12) Accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior is the only way that we can receive true eternal peace! Salvation in Jesus is a free gift from God and we must receive this free gift from God by faith! (Romans 3:25) If we come to understand and admit that we are sinners and if we believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins and that He rose to life again, then we can invite Jesus Christ into our hearts and our lives as our personal Lord and Savior and receive eternal life in Him. Romans 10:9 tells us that “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (NIV) If you have come to understand and admit that you are a sinner and if you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins and that He rose to life again, then you can invite Jesus into your heart and your life as your personal Lord and Savior and receive eternal life in Him! You can pray a prayer like this:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I know that I am a sinner and that I need Jesus to save me. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins and that He rose to life again. God I am sorry for my sin. I invite Jesus into my heart and my life as my personal Lord and Savior. I commit my life to you.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
If you prayed a prayer like this and accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then you have received eternal life in Jesus and you have been eternally forgiven for all of your past, present and future sins in Him! You now have peace with God through your Savior Jesus! Praise God for your salvation in Jesus! You are guaranteed a perfectly blessed future in Jesus, for God works everything out for the good of His children! (Romans 8:28) You have been blessed with an eternal future in Heaven with Jesus because He loves you and He gave Himself for you to reconcile you to God by the shedding of His blood for you! You are a child of God and it is no longer you who lives but it is Jesus who lives in you and He is your life! (Galatians 2:20, Colossians 3:4) You have died to sin and death through your Savior Jesus and now you are alive to God in Him! (Romans 6:11) Sin is no longer your master for you are not under the law but you have been blessed with God’s perfect grace in your Savior Jesus who has redeemed you from all sin and death for all of eternity! (Romans 6:14) You now have peace with God through your Savior Jesus who lives in you! Romans 5:1 tells us that “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. (NIV) Jesus is our peace! (Ephesians 2:14) As children of God, who believe in Jesus, we have our Savior Jesus living in our inner being! Through Jesus we have eternal peace with God and we have true peace in our inner being! In our Savior Jesus, we have true peace in every way!
Let us go forth always rejoicing in the Lord for as children of God, who have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, we have eternal peace with God, Jesus lives in our inner being and Jesus is our peace! We can always rest assured knowing that we are guaranteed a perfectly blessed future because God always works all things out for the good of his children! (Romans 8:28) God is in control of all things and His will is always done! God always knows exactly what each and every one of us needs in each and every moment of our lives and we can always be encouraged knowing that God will always bless us with exactly what we need in each moment of our lives, blessing us perfectly according to His perfect will! It is God who works in us to do His will and live a life that glorifies Him! (Philippians 2:13) Even in times of struggle in our lives we can still rest assured knowing that God is in control of all things and we can be encouraged because God blesses us with struggles in our lives to teach us and to strengthen us, shaping us even further into the children of God that He has created us to be in Him! Rejoice in the Lord without ceasing! God has created you as His precious, dearly loved, chosen child and He has blessed you with your faith in Jesus who loves you and gave Himself for you! God has appointed you to eternal life in your Savior, Jesus, even when we all deserve death and punishment because of our sins! God has called you out of the darkness and into the kingdom of his Son, Jesus, who paid the full price for you to reconcile you to God! You have not a thing to fear! You have been eternally redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus, your personal Lord and Savior, and through Jesus you have received eternal peace with God! Enjoy this blessed life to which you have been called in your Savior, Jesus, and enjoy the eternal peace you have in Him! Praise God for all of these perfect, endless blessings!
If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior then, I implore you, do not delay! God has brought you here for a reason and He is working in your heart and in your life at this very moment! God knows every bit of you even better than you know yourself for He created you, your inmost being! God pursues our hearts even though we do not deserve Him or His perfect love or His perfect grace! It is God alone who we sin against and yet it is God who has blessed us with His free gift of salvation for our souls in His one and only Son, Jesus, who loves us and gave Himself for us! If God is in pursuit of your heart, and remember it is God who has brought you here, then He will not fail, nothing and no one can stop Him! God is sharing His truth and His love with you, do not turn away! Do not continue living without true peace! As Job 22:21 says “Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you. (NIV) Submit yourself to God! Open your heart to Him and relinquish all that burdens you! Open your heart to God and invite Jesus in! As 2 Corinthians 6:2 says “For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. (NIV) Now is the time and today is the day to accept God’s free gift of salvation in Jesus! Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and receive true eternal peace in Him!
