Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Scripture Writing Plan October 2026
This month our Scripture writing plan is all about sharing the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. As believers in Jesus, we are called to go and share the gospel with all people. In God’s Word we receive the command and instruction of the Great Commission. In Matthew 28:18-20 we read, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20, KJV) We are instructed to go and preach the gospel to all nations remembering that our Savior Jesus has all authority and He is with us always, even as we go out on the Great Commission.
Titus 2:11-14 says, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:11-14, KJV) God offers salvation through Jesus Christ to ALL people. There is no one who does not need to hear the gospel of Jesus. As believers who are in Christ Jesus, we have been called to share the gospel with all people, for we are Christ’s ambassadors. It is God Who is sharing the gospel with people through us. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:17-21, KJV) Through Christ Jesus our Savior, all believers become the righteousness of God and become those through whom God shares the gospel with everyone around us! When we have received this grace from God, we can and must be endlessly eager to share the Good News of salvation in Jesus our Savior with all those around us!
As we go about sharing the gospel with others, we are encouraged knowing that Jesus is always with us. We are told in Matthew 28 that Jesus is with us even to the end of the world! Remember what Matthew 1:23 says, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” (Matthew 1:23, KJV) Jesus is God with us! Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us to, “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” (Deuteronomy 31:6, KJV) God will never leave us nor forsake us, and it is God Who shares His Word with others through us.
We must always remember that only God can save. It is only through the working of the Holy Spirit in someone's heart that they can come to saving faith in Jesus. We cannot save a person; it is only God Who can save them and we are only the vessels through whom God shares the truth of the gospel and the invitation to believe in Jesus as personal Lord and Savior. As believers, we have been called to salvation in Jesus, and we have been created for God’s glory, to be His precious children, holy and dearly loved. Ephesians 1: 4-14 says that “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1:4-14, KJV) God’s will for us, as believers, is to fulfill the great commission. We have been saved through Christ to bring glory to God and to obey His commands. God has commanded us to spread His Word with all and so we obey that command and we get up, go out and do it! Not later, not soon, but now.
As we continue to share the gospel of Jesus with others, we must do so with confidence in the Holy Spirit to work in the heart of anyone, even those whom we think have the hardest of hearts. Let us always have a humble heart remembering that we too are sinners to whom God revealed His gospel of salvation in Jesus and that He chose to give us faith to believe in Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. It is by God’s grace alone that we are saved through faith in Jesus. (Ephesians 2:8-9) We too are undeserving of God's grace but now by the blood of Jesus, we have become the righteousness of God to the praise of His glory! So, we must go forth and faithfully share the Truth with all people knowing that God is perfectly faithful and no one and nothing can thwart His plans. (Daniel 4:35) God is always with us, and we have nothing to fear!
If you have joined us today and have not yet put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then I implore on Christ’s behalf to do so now! We are all sinners. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23, KJV) We also read in Romans, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23, KJV) Our sins separate us from our Holy God. Isaiah 59:2 says, “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:2, KJV) Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins and all who believe in Him will be saved. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16, KJV) If you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and that He was raised to life again you will be saved. Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9, KJV)
If you desire to receive eternal life in Jesus and you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins and that He was raised to life again then, you can pray a prayer like this to accept Jesus Christ into your heart and life as your personal Lord and Savior:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I confess that I am a sinner and that I need Jesus to save me. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins and that He rose to life again. I am sorry for my sins, please forgive me God. I invite Jesus into my heart and my life as my personal Lord and Savior. I commit my life to you.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Let us end this reading and start this Scripture plan with the following Verses coming from 1 Timothy which say, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (1 Timothy 1:15-17, KJV)
