This month our Scripture plan is all about trusting the Lord our God. We know the importance of obeying God, but we must also remember that it is equally important to trust God. To trust God is to obey God. Let all of us who are in Jesus be encouraged by this passage of Scripture that reminds us of our secure position in Jesus Christ, our Savior, which is from Romans 8 and says, There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1, KJV) Our hearts will also be encouraged as we turn to our memory Verse for this month, Proverbs 3:5-6 which instructs us to, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6, KJV)

Salvation for our souls is only found by grace alone, through faith alone, and in Christ alone and all of those who put their faith in Jesus, as their personal Lord and savior, have not a thing to fear for all of eternity because God’s perfect love removes all fear for those of us who are in Jesus. We are encouraged by 1 John 4:18-19 which tells us that, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:18-19, KJV) The Lord our God supplies or every need in Jesus Christ our Savior, just as God tells us in Philippians, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19, KJV) So let those of us who are in Jesus Christ trust in the Lord our God Who has given us faith to believe in Jesus, and accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior, receiving eternal life in Jesus by the grace of God! We can and must trust the Lord our God with all of our hearts just as we are told in 1 Peter, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7, KJV)

If you have joined us today and you have not yet put your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then know that only God is completely trustworthy and know that God is love. God has brought you, specifically you, here and He is sharing the gospel of Salvation in Jesus Christ with you. Don’t turn away without putting your faith and trust in Him. 1 Corinthians says, “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)” (2 Corinthians 6:2, KJV) Today is the day and now is the time to put your faith and trust in God. Enjoy this Scripture plan as you learn more about the Lord our God and the blessing of trusting Him in obedience to God and His Word. Be encouraged to memorize these Scriptures so that at any time, and especially in a season of difficulty, you will be able to meditate on these Scriptures that remind you that the Lord our God is fully trustworthy and that He is always working all things for His glory and the good of His children!
