This month we are studying Matthew 5:3-12. As we read this passage of Scripture, we are challenged to evaluate our hearts. We are also encouraged, and reminded, that in Jesus Christ, and only in Jesus Christ, can we have pure hearts that truly reflect God’s character and His heart. Just as in all of Scripture, we are convicted of our sinful ways as we learn God’s instructions for us. Conviction can feel uncomfortable because it reminds us of all the sins that we do in fact commit against God and it reminds us that we are undeserving of the gift of salvation in Jesus. Conviction is, however, a precious blessing from God. As God reveals our sinful ways to us then, we can be corrected of our sinful ways by Him and become more like Jesus our Savior. This is all a part of the precious blessed process of sanctification as we grow in the Lord to become more like Him.

You can utilize this Scripture memorization tool to memorize the memory Verses for this month.  When we memorize Scripture then, we can meditate upon the Word throughout the day, and we can be prepared to share the Word of God with others. Enjoy spending time in God’s Word as you grow in the Lord!
