Received By Faith

So far this month, we have been taught about the reason we are to celebrate Easter and we were taught about God’s amazing grace! We were taught about how God, in His grace, blessed us with His free gift of Salvation in His Son Jesus! When we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior then we are forgiven for all of our sins and we receive eternal life in Him! We have also learned how salvation is only found in Jesus. We know that God has blessed us with His free gift of salvation in Jesus and now we are going to be reminded that God’s free gift of salvation in Jesus is to be received by faith!

God sent His one and only Son Jesus to die on the cross to save us from our sins. (John 3:16) It is in Jesus alone that we are saved from our sins and receive eternal life in Him. Salvation in Jesus is a free gift from God! We cannot earn salvation and there is nothing that we can do to save ourselves. God has blessed us with His free gift of Salvation in His Son Jesus and in order to have eternal life and forgiveness for our sins we must receive this free gift from God by faith. We must admit that we are sinners and we must believe in our hearts that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins and that He rose to life again. We must accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior by confessing our sin to God and inviting Jesus into our hearts and lives as our personal Savior. Romans 10:9 says “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (NIV) God’s free gift of Salvation in Jesus is for us all but we must receive His free gift by faith to have eternal life in His Son. We must accept this free gift from God and receive it by faith. As we read in Romans 3:25 which says “God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. (NIV) If we do not accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior then we are not receiving God’s free gift of salvation by faith. As John 3:18 says “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. (NIV) Only when we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior do we receive forgiveness for our sins and eternal life in Him!

If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then I encourage you to turn to God and receive His free gift of Salvation in Jesus by faith! God has brought you here and He is working in your heart and in your life at this very moment! God loves you perfectly as you are and He wants you to come to Him just as you are! Open your heart to the God who created you and loves you with an everlasting love! God knows you even better than you know yourself and He loves you perfectly even with your sinful nature! God loves us all perfectly even with our sinful nature and our sinful ways! God is longing for you and your heart and He is always right there with you! God pursues our hearts even with our sinful nature and our imperfections. We do not deserve God’s endless love or His perfect grace but He pursues our hearts to bless us with everything we do not deserve! If God is in pursuit of your heart, and remember it is God who has brought you here, then He will not fail! There is not a thing in this world or a single person who can stop Him! Praise God that He has brought you here and that He is working in your heat and in your life! Turn to God and receive His free gift of Salvation in His Son Jesus! Do not delay! Turn to God and receive the best in life and true life itself in His Son Jesus!

If you have already received God’s free gift of Salvation in Jesus then praise God for you are eternally forgiven for your sins and you have eternal life in your Savior Jesus! Go forth rejoicing in the Lord and praising Him for His endless perfect love and His perfect grace! You have the assurance of a blessed future in your Savior Jesus and you also have the assurance of eternal life in Him! Be confident in the Lord knowing that you have been set free from sin and death for all of eternity and you have peace with God in Jesus! Enjoy your freedom in Jesus while always being faithful in living to glorify God! Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus the author and perfecter of your faith! (Hebrews 12:2) God will continue to bless you perfectly always according to His will! Enjoy the blessed life to which God has called you as His dearly loved child and enjoy the assurance of a blessed future in Him!
