April 2023 Happy Easter: Jesus is Risen! Scripture Writing/Reading Plan

Easter is coming next week so this week we have a Scripture writing/reading plan that teaches us why we are to celebrate Easter. Study this Scripture plan to learn why we are to celebrate Easter and prepare your heart to celebrate Easter as you should this year. We all sin and our sin leads to death. (Romans 3:23) Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins, He was buried and He rose to life again on the third day! (John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4) When we admit that we are sinners and believe in our hearts that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins and that He rose to life again, then we can invite Jesus into our hearts and our lives as our personal Lord and Savior and receive eternal life in Him! Only in Jesus can we be forgiven for all of our past, present and future sins for all of eternity and receive eternal life!

Good Friday represents the day that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins and Easter Sunday represents the day that Jesus rose to life again conquering sin and death for all of eternity! We do not deserve forgiveness for our sins. In fact, because of our sins we deserve death and punishment but God, in His grace, has blessed us with His free gift of salvation in His Son Jesus and this free gift is to be received by faith. (Romans 3:25) That is why we are to celebrate Easter! God sent His Son Jesus to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins so that those who believe in Him can receive forgiveness for their sins and receive eternal life in Him! God sent His Son to save sinful man and reconcile us to Himself even though we do not deserve this perfect blessing. God has blessed us with His grace in His free gift of salvation in Jesus and when we receive God’s free gift of salvation in His Son, then we are set free from sin and death and get to spend eternity in heaven with our Savior Jesus! Praise God for His perfect grace and praise God for our Savior Jesus and His sacrifice for us!
