Last week we learned about why we are to celebrate Easter. We were taught about Jesus and His sacrifice of death on the cross to save us from our sins and how He rose to life again on the third day! We were taught that if we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior then we are forgiven for all of our past, present and future sins and we receive eternal life in Him! Salvation is only found in Jesus! Today we are going to talk more about God’s amazing grace!

In His grace, God has blessed us with His free gift of Salvation in His Son Jesus. We do not deserve forgiveness, in fact, because of our sins we deserve punishment and death. (Romans 6:23) But God, who is rich in mercy, has blessed us with His grace. God sent His one and only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to save us from our sins and when we believe in Jesus we receive eternal life in Him (John 3:16) even though we deserve death and punishment because of our sins. Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. (NIV) Salvation in Jesus is the free gift of God, it is a gift we don’t deserve and it is a gift that is to be received by faith. When we do receive this free gift from God, by accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, then we are forgiven for all of our past, present and future sins for all of eternity and we receive eternal life in Jesus! We do not deserve any of these perfect blessings from God but God blesses us with His perfect grace. Ephesians 2:4-5 says “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. (NIV) Praise God for His perfect grace and His perfect love for us! Praise God that we are in fact saved by God’s grace! We cannot do anything to earn forgiveness and we cannot save ourselves and praise God for this! God sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins and God blesses us with our faith in Him! We are not saved because of something we did but we are saved because God loves us, He saved us, and He blessed us with our faith in Jesus! We are sinful and deserving of wrath, (Romans 2:3) but God, in His grace, blesses us with eternal Salvation in Jesus! As Ephesians 1:7 says “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace. (NIV) Praise be to God for this incredible gift!

When we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, then we are set free from sin and death for all of eternity through Him! In Jesus we are eternally forgiven for all of our past, present and future sins and and we have peace with God! We are blessed with eternal life in Jesus! As Romans 7:24-25 says “What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! (NIV) When we accept Jesus as our personal Savior then we become children of God and we have God’s Holy Spirit living in our inner being! Once we are saved, we are saved for all of eternity! Jesus paid the full price for us and now we get to enjoy eternal life in Him! Praise God for these perfect, incredible, endless blessings from God! We do not deserve any of these perfect blessings but God is rich in mercy and blesses us with His perfect love and grace! Let us go forth rejoicing in the Lord for we have been blessed with God’s perfect Salvation in our Savior Jesus even though we do not deserve it! In Jesus we have the assurance of eternal life and we can be encouraged knowing that God always works everything out for our good! (Romans 8:28) As God’s precious children we have Jesus living in our inner being! God has a plan for each one of us and and His will is always done! We have true hope for our future and we have nothing to fear and every reason to rejoice in the Lord! For our God is in control of all things and He always knows exactly what we need! We can be encouraged knowing that God will always bless us with exactly what we need in each moment of our life! We have a blessed future ahead of us in the Lord and we have the assurance of eternal life in our Savior Jesus! Praise God for His endless love and His amazing grace!
