How To Be Set Free

Do you struggle with insecurity? Fear? Shame? Guilt? If you are struggling with any of these, I’m sure you are wanting to be set free from them all! Let me encourage you with the fact that you can be set free from whatever is burdening you and more importantly, you can be set free from sin and death. Only in Jesus can we be set free from sin and death and be reconciled to God. Only in Jesus can we be set free from guilt and shame and go forth without any fear knowing that we have a secure future in Him!

No one is perfect and we all sin. (Romans 3:23) Our sin separates us from God and our sin leads to death. (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 6:23) John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (NIV) And 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 says “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, (NIV) Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins and when we believe in Him and accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior, then we are forgiven for all of our past, present and future sins for all of eternity in Him and we receive eternal life in Him. There is nothing that we can do to save ourselves and salvation for our soul is found in Jesus alone. (Acts 4:12) We do not deserve forgiveness for our sins, in fact because of our sin we deserve death and punishment but God, in His grace, has blessed us with His free gift of salvation in His Son Jesus and this free gift from God is to be received by faith. (Romans 3:25) When we come to understand and admit that we are sinners and if we believe in our heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins and that He rose to life again, then we can invite Jesus into our heart and life as our personal Lord and Savior and receive eternal salvation in Him. Romans 10:9 says that “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (NIV) If you have come to understand and admit that you are a sinner and you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins and that He rose to life again, then you can invite Jesus Christ into your heart and life as your personal Lord and Savior and receive eternal life in Him. You can pray a prayer like this:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I know that I am a sinner and that I need Jesus to save me. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins and that He rose to life again. God I am sorry for my sin. I invite Jesus into my heart and my life as my personal Lord and Savior. I commit my life to you.

In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

If you prayed a prayer like this and accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then, in Jesus, you are eternally forgiven for all of your past, present and future sins and you have been reconciled to God by the blood of His one and only Son! In Jesus, none of your sins will ever be counted against you and you have eternal life in Him! In your Savior Jesus, you have been eternally set free from sin and death! John 8:36 says “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (NIV) Jesus conquered sin and death eternally for you! As children of God, who believe in Jesus, we have the Holy Spirit living in our inner being! Jesus paid the full price for you and your sin and in Him you are eternally forgiven for all of your sins! Romans 8:1-2 has “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. (NIV) As a precious and dearly loved child of God, who believes in Jesus, Jesus lives in your inner being and in Him you have been set free from sin and death for all of eternity and you have been reconciled to God by the blood of His Son receiving eternal life in Him! We deserve death and punishment because of our sin but God, who is rich in mercy, has blessed us with His perfect grace in His Son, Jesus, who died on the cross to save us from our sins and reconcile us to God by the shedding of His blood! It is God who we sin against and it is God who has saved us and redeemed us in His Son calling us to eternal life in Him, even though we do not deserve it! Praise God for His perfect love and His perfect grace!

In Jesus we are eternally forgiven for all of our past, present and future sins and we have been reconciled to God by His Son and the shedding of His blood! Because all of our sins are eternally forgiven in Jesus, we have not only been set free from our sin but also from the shame and guilt of our sin. Remember, Jesus paid the full price for you and in Him none of your sins will ever be counted against you! So let go of your guilt and your shame and praise God for your salvation in your Savior Jesus! Praise God for blessing you with eternal forgiveness for your sins in Jesus and praise God for calling you to eternal life in His Son! Enjoy the blessed life to which God has called you and keep your eyes, your mind and your heart fixed on your Savior Jesus who conquered sin and death for you! Do not focus on your sinful nature but focus instead on Jesus the author and perfecter of your faith who paid the full price for you on the cross and redeemed you from sin and death for all of eternity! We do have a sinful nature and we do sin but, by the grace of God, we are eternally forgiven in our Savior Jesus! When we do sin, we must humbly go before God in prayer admitting our sins to Him and ask Him to forgive us for our sins. Then we must let that guilt and shame go because, in Jesus, we are already forgiven for all of our sins for all of eternity! Ask God to make you faithful in living to glorify Him and remember that He is faithful and He will do it! It is God who works in us to do His will! (Philippians 2:13) God’s will is always done and He always works all things out for the good of His children! (Romans 8:28) So be faithful in living to glorify God and enjoy the blessed eternal life to which He has called you in His Son Jesus! Remember that Jesus has set you free from sin and death for all of eternity and because Jesus set you free, you are free indeed!

In our Savior Jesus, we have not a thing to fear! God is in control of all things and His will is always done. God works all things out for the good of His children. (Romans 8:28) God has called us to eternal life in His Son and in Him we have received eternal life! Not only have we been blessed with eternal life in our Savior Jesus but we can also rest assured knowing that we are guaranteed a blessed secure future in him. God always knows exactly what each one of us needs and He will always bless us with exactly what we need in each moment of our life according to His will! We are perfectly and eternally blessed in our Savior Jesus and, in Him, we have everything that we need to live a life that glorifies God! (Ephesians 1:3) In our Savior Jesus we have been set free from sin and death, guilt and shame, fear and all of our insecurities. In Jesus we are eternally forgiven, we have received eternal life in Him, we have been set free from guilt and shame, we have not a thing to fear and we have a secure future and we are looking forward to an eternal future in heaven with our Savior Jesus! In Jesus we are free indeed! So do not burden yourself with guilt and shame and do no hold on to your sins. Humbly go before God and relinquish your guilt and shame and admit your sins to Him praising Him for the forgiveness you have received in your Savior Jesus!

If you are still holding onto guilt, shame, fear, insecurities, or anything else that burdens you, then do so no longer! You are longing to be set free from all that burdens you and God is right there with you ready to take it all from you! Only in Jesus can you be set free from sin and death and all that burdens you! God has brought you here and He is working in your heart and in your life in this very moment! God created you and He knows you even better than you know yourself! There is not a single place where we can go to escape God and His perfect love for us! God loves you perfectly as you are and He wants you to come to Him just as you are in this very moment! Open your heart to God and relinquish all of your burdens to Him! Commit yourself to God and confess your sins to Him. He knows you even better than you know yourself and there is not a single thing that you can conceal from Him. God loves you perfectly just as you are! Let your guilt, shame and fear go, give it to God! Invite Jesus into your heart and your life as your personal Lord and Savior and be eternally forgiven for all of your sins and be reconciled to the God who created you and called you here to Himself! Invite Jesus into your being as your personal Savior and be set free from sin and death for all of eternity and receive eternal life in Him! Do not delay! Let go and commit yourself and your life to God! Only God can carry your burdens for you and only in Jesus can you be set free! Let go of your burdens, commit yourself to God, invite Jesus into your life as your personal Savior and experience the best in life and true life itself!
