Resting and Abiding in Christ Scripture Writing/Reading Plan September 2023

Our Scripture writing/reading plan this month of September is all about resting and abiding in Christ! True rest is only found in Jesus! Are you weary or burdened? Are you longing for rest and peace? Be encouraged my dear friends because you can in fact have true rest and eternal peace! You can have rest for your soul and true peace in your inner being! God alone can give you true rest and inner peace. God cares for you! God wants you to come to Him, just as you are, in this very moment and He will give you rest! No one is perfect and we all sin yet God loves us perfectly, just as we are, with an everlasting love even though it is God alone who we sin against! It is God alone who we sin against and yet it is God who has blessed us with His free gift of salvation in Jesus! No one is perfect and we all sin. (Romans 3:23) Our sin separates us from God and our sin leads to death. (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 6:23) Our sin separates us from God and our sin keeps us from being at peace with God. Our sin prevents us from having true peace. Jesus loves us and He gave Himself for us to reconcile us to God by the shedding of His blood for us! Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins and all who believe in Jesus receive eternal life in Him and eternal forgiveness for all of their past, present and future sins in Jesus! (John 3:16) Accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior is the only way that we can receive true eternal peace! Salvation in Jesus is a free gift from God and we must receive this free gift from God by faith! (Romans 3:25) Open your heart to God, confess your sins to Him and invite Jesus into your heart and your life as your personal Lord and Savior! Commit your heart and your life to God and experience the best in life and true life itself! Do not wait any longer! Accept God’s free gift of salvation in Jesus who loves you and gave Himself for you and receive eternal life in Jesus! Only then can you enter true rest that is only found in Jesus and receive true eternal peace in Jesus! Jesus is our peace! (Ephesians 2:14) Enjoy spending time in God’s Word learning all about true rest that is only found in Jesus! Enjoy learning how to rest and abide in Jesus!
