This month of November our Scripture Writing/Reading Plan is all about giving thanks to God! We often celebrate Thanksgiving this month and we all have endless reasons to be thankful whether we can see that or not. Every blessing comes from God! God loves each and every one of us perfectly as we are and God knows us even better than we know ourselves, for God created our inmost being. We are all imperfect sinners. (Romans 3:23) Our sin separates us from God and our sin leads to death. (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 6:23) It is God alone who we sin against and yet it is God who has blessed us with His free gift of salvation in His Son Jesus who died on the cross to save us from our sins. All who believe in Jesus and accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior receive eternal life in Jesus and eternal forgiveness for each and every one of their past, present and future sins in Him. Jesus loves us and He gave Himself for us to reconcile us to God by the shedding of His precious blood for us! Salvation in Jesus is a free gift from God and we must receive this free gift from God by faith, faith in Jesus. (Romans 3:25) Salvation for our souls is only found in Jesus! (Acts 4:12) Salvation in Jesus is the ultimate gift, the ultimate blessing. It is not because of who we are nor is it because of anything that we have done that we are saved, it is by the perfect grace of God that we are saved. (Ephesians 2:8-9) If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then praise God for you have received eternal life and eternal forgiveness in your Savior Jesus! In Jesus, and through faith in Him, you have been reconciled to God by the precious blood of His one and only Son who gave Himself for you. Praise God for your salvation in your Savior Jesus!
All those who accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior become children of God! (John 1:12) God always works all things out for the good of His children. (Romans 8:28) If you have accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior then Jesus lives in you and He is your life! (Galatians 2:20, Colossians 3:4) In your Savior Jesus you have died to sin and death and you are now alive to God in Jesus. (Romans 6:11) You have not a thing to fear for you have been eternally redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus and you are guaranteed a perfectly blessed future in Jesus and an eternal future in Heaven with Him! You have every reason to praise God without ceasing! God’s will is always done and He is in control of all things. God is working all things out for your good according to His perfect will! As children of God, who believe in Jesus, we have not a thing to fear, for fear has to do with punishment and in Jesus all of our past, present and future sins have been forgiven! Even times that seem difficult in our lives are perfect blessings from God through which He is shaping us even further into the children of God that He has created us to be in Him! God blesses us with struggles in our lives to teach us and to discipline us as His precious, dearly loved children, because in Jesus, that is who we are! Struggles can seem difficult when we are experiencing them but we must remember that God is better preparing us for the eternal life to which we have been appointed in our Savior Jesus! Struggles in our lives are perfectly designed blessings that God designed specifically for us to bless us according to His perfect will. So enjoy this blessed eternal life to which you have been called in your Savior Jesus and praise God without ceasing!
If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savor, then I implore you, not to delay any longer! God has brought you here for a reason and He is working in your heart and in your life at this very moment! God is sharing His truth and His love with you. God loves you perfectly, just as you are, no matter what your past or present may look like. God knows every single bit of you even better than you know yourself and He loves every single bit of you perfectly as you are. God wants you to come to Him, just as you are, and open your heart to Him. Open your heart to God and invite Jesus in as your personal Lord and Savior to receive eternal life and true life itself in Jesus! Romans 10:9 says that “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (NIV) If you have come to understand and admit that you are a sinner and if you believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins and that He rose to life again, then you can invite Jesus into your heart and your life as your personal Lord and Savior and receive eternal life in Him. You can pray a prayer like this:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I know that I am a sinner and that I need Jesus to save me. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save me from my sins and that He rose to life again. God I am sorry for my sin. I invite Jesus into my heart and my life as my personal Lord and Savior. I commit my life to you.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Every single blessing in our lives comes from God! Let us remember that as we celebrate Thanksgiving it is God who blesses us with every single blessing and it is God alone who is to receive our thanks and praise! It is of course important to thank those around us and to be thankful for the people in our lives, for God has blessed us with them and it is God who blesses us through them. All the love we receive in our lives comes from God and He loves us perfectly, endlessly, in every way! Let’s praise the Lord without ceasing not only on Thanksgiving but on every single day of the year as we enjoy the endless blessings we continually receive that come from God alone! Enjoy spending time in God’s Word learning about the perfect blessings of God and the blessing it is to praise His Holy Name!
