Last week we talked all about God and His creation! We were also encouraged with the fact that God pursues our hearts! We know that we all sin and we all need our Savior Jesus to redeem us from our sin and death. Only when we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior can we have eternal life in Him! We do not deserve God’s perfect love or His grace but God, who is rich in mercy, has blessed us with both! God pursues our hearts despite our sinful nature and our sinful ways.
God loves us perfectly just as we are! God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and save us from our sins. (John 3:16) 1 John 4:10 says that “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (NIV) God loves us! God loves us perfectly with an everlasting love! In His love for us, God pursues our hearts to bless us with His grace. We do not deserve God’s grace. In fact, because of our sins, we deserve death and punishment. But God has blessed us with His grace and it is by His grace that we are saved. Ephesians 2:4-5 says “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. (NIV) God has blessed us with His free gift of Salvation in His Son Jesus and this gift is to be received by faith. Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. (NIV) Praise God for His relentless grace! Because of our sin we deserve death and punishment and without our Savior Jesus that is exactly what we receive. In God’s grace, we can have eternal life and be forgiven for all of our past present and future sins, when we admit that we are sinners and believe in our hearts that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins and accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior!
God pursues us, sinful man, He pursues our hearts even though we do not deserve Him! That is incredible! God loves us perfectly as we are and He calls us to Himself to bless us with His grace! We are completely undeserving of it all! Praise God that He has brought you here! If you have already accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then Praise God for blessing you with your faith in His Son and bringing you to repentance and eternal life in Him! Be encouraged by the fact that you never deserved His grace and you still don’t, but God has blessed you with His grace and His eternal blessings because of His great love for you! You are perfectly loved by your God and He has redeemed you and set you free from sin and death for all of eternity! Jeremiah 1:5 Says “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (NIV) How incredible is that? Before God formed you, He set you apart as His child to receive eternal Salvation in Jesus! There is no greater blessing than to be a child of God! We read in Isaiah 43:1 “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. (NIV) God has summoned you by name! Not only has God summoned you by name but He named you, and He created you! As a child of God you have been blessed with every Spiritual blessing in Christ! (Ephesians 1:3) Praise God, for you are perfectly and eternally blessed by the God of all creation who has summoned you and appointed you to eternal life!
If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then be encouraged by the fact that God has brought you here! God is pursuing your heart at this very moment! Understand that God loves you perfectly just as you are and He is your Creator who knows you even better than you know yourself! Open your heart to the Lord and bear yourself to Him! God is working in your heart and in your life at this very moment and He is longing for you and your heart! There is nothing that God doesn’t know about you. He knows all of your inner thoughts and all that you have done from the very beginning! God loves you no matter what the past looks like or even the present! God is with you loving you perfectly and longing for you to be His! As 2 Corinthians 6:2 says “For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. (NIV) Today is the day and now is the time to turn to God and repent! Remember, God is working in your heart and in your life at this very moment and He is longing for you! Do not delay, turn to the God who created you and accept God’s free gift of salvation in Jesus! Only then can you experience the best in life and true life itself! Only then can you receive eternal life in Jesus! Praise God for His relentless grace and His perfect pursuit of our hearts!
