There is another work week ahead of us and for many, it starts tomorrow. Are you looking forward to the work ahead of you or are there things that you wish you could avoid? Are there any tasks you find to be challenging? Before you answer those questions let me ask you this: Who do you serve? Let me encourage you with the very important reminder that it is God whom you serve! You are working for the Lord not your boss or anyone else. Not even for yourself. You are working for the Lord to do His will and to bring Him glory!

Once we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, then Jesus lives in our inner being and we become children of God! As God’s precious and dearly loved children, we can rest assured knowing that God works all things out for our good. (Romans 8:28) Let us also be encouraged with the fact that God is in control of all things! As children of God who have been blessed with faith in Jesus, we have now been reconciled to God by the blood of His Son, Jesus, and we have peace with God through Him. Romans 5:1-2 says “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. NIV) God has blessed us with His grace even when we deserve punishment and death because of our sin. God has blessed us with His free gift of salvation in His Son Jesus which is to be received by faith. (Roman 3:25) Praise God for blessing us with our faith in His Son and eternal forgiveness and enteral life in Him! In our Savior Jesus we are set for all of eternity! We have the one and only living God of all creation living in our inner being and, as His children, we are called to live our lives for Him, to bring Him glory. Let us also be encouraged with the fact that it is God living in us who works in us to do His will. (Philippians 2:13) All of the good in us is Christ in us and praise God for this incredible blessing, for since Christ is the good in us we know that the good in us will never cease or fail!

No matter what happens in our day we must always remember that God is in control of all things. God alone is in control of all things! God always knows exactly what you need even though you do not and He will always bless you with exactly what you need in each moment of your life. So be encouraged, you are always perfectly blessed according to God’s will and in your Savior Jesus you have everything that you need to live a life that glorifies God. (Ephesians 1:3) And remember that if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then you have your Savior Jesus living in your inner being and He will never leave you! You are eternally forgiven for all of your past, present and future sins in Jesus and you have the assurance of eternal life in Him!

Now it is important to always remember that you are here to do God’s will and to glorify Him in all that you do. Remember, God is in control of all things, His will is always done, and it is God who works in you to do His will. (Romans 8:28) So do not get discouraged! By the grace of God you have been called to eternal life in His Son Jesus, through faith in Him, and your God is always working in you and through you to do His will. As children of God we are called to live a holy life and serve the Lord our God. So as Colossians 3:23-24 says “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (NIV) Rejoice in the Lord your God! As we read in Colossians, you are working for the Lord not for any human master! You are serving the one and only God of all creation who lives in you, through faith in the Son of God, who loves you and gave Himself for you! (Galatians 2:20) You serve the God who created you, the God who named you and the God who called you by name to eternal life in His one and only Son! (Isaiah 43:1) You are God’s precious dearly loved child and you are working for Him and no one else, not even yourself! As we read in Colossians, we will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward and that inheritance is eternal life in His Son Jesus! You are working for the Lord and you are looking forward to an eternal future with your Savior Jesus in heaven! With your Savior Jesus living in your inner being, you have the assurance of eternal life in Him! So as we are instructed in Colossians, work at whatever you do with all of your heart because it is the Lord God you are serving not anyone else!

Now, with all these truths in mind, let us not grow weary in doing good! Remember it is the Lord God we serve! As Galatians 6:9 says “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (NIV) We are serving the Lord our God who called us to eternal life in His Son Jesus and, through Him, we have been set free from the law of sin and death. God has redeemed us from sin and death to serve Him for all of eternity! We serve the Lord our God and we receive eternal life in His Son Jesus as a reward, a reward we do not deserve! Our God is rich in mercy and grace! God blessed us with His grace in His Son Jesus who died on the cross to save us from our sins (John 3:16) even when we deserve death and punishment because of our sins. (Romans 6:23) We are perfectly blessed in our Savior Jesus and we must strive to always live in a manner that glorifies our God! Our God who redeemed us from sin and death and who appointed us to eternal life even when we deserve death! Praise God for His perfect love and His endless grace! As 2 Timothy 2:15 says “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. (NIV) Remember, it is the Lord Christ you serve so serve Him with all of your heart and with joy that overflows! If Jesus is living in you as your personal Lord and Savior, then you have been called to eternal life in Him and you have not a thing to fear, for you are perfectly and eternally blessed in Jesus!

Let us also be encouraged with the fact that as children of God, with Jesus living in our inner being, God is always constantly working in us and through us! God is always sharing His truth and love with others through you! The love of God is naturally displayed through us when Jesus lives in our inner being, for God is love and with Jesus in us, true love lives in us! God constantly works through us in every moment of our lives and Jesus naturally shines from within us as a beacon of hope and love that never goes out! Jesus is the light of life (John 1:4) and if He lives in your inner being, then the light of life lives in you and His light constantly shines through you for all to see! You are a light shining in the darkness for all to see because Jesus is the light that shines in you and through you! God is witnessing to others through you whether you know it or not! God is loving others through you and He is always doing His work in you and through you! God has you exactly where He wants you and He always provides! God is working in your coworker’s lives through you, in your customers lives through you and in everyone else’s life around you through you! Your work and life is not insignificant, for Jesus is your life and God’s work is always being done through you and God is the one who completes that work through you! You are perfectly blessed and you should rejoice in your Savior Jesus and the God who created you! Praise God that He works in you and through you in each and every moment of your life and praise God that you have the light of life living in your inner being shining for all to see! Jesus is the light of life living in your inner being and in Him you have escaped death and darkness for all of eternity! Praise God for the blessed life to which He has called you!

God has you right where He wants you and He is doing His work in you and through you in each and every moment of your life! It is the Lord Christ you are serving, as a child of God, who has saved you and called you to eternal life in His Son! You are perfectly blessed in your Savior Jesus! Enjoy your day, each day and enjoy serving the Lord your God! Work at everything you do with all of your heart because you do in fact serve the God of all creation and the God of your salvation! Remember, the Lord has made this day, He is in control and He has redeemed you from sin and death to serve Him eternally! Rejoice in the Lord and enjoy this blessed life to which He has called you! If the Lord wants to move you to another job or if He wants to complete another task through you, then He will do so according to His will and in His perfect timing! Remember, God has you right where you are meant to be in this moment and His work is always being done in you and through you! So enjoy being a child of God and enjoy serving Him!

So as you enter this work week remember these truths from the Word of God! You are not serving any human master! You are serving the God of all creation who has called you to eternal life in His Son Jesus and you are awaiting a blessed perfect inheritance in Him! Work at everything with all of your heart because you do in fact serve the God of all creation and the God of your salvation! (Colossians 3:23-24) Remember, that Jesus is the light of life (John 1:4) and as children of God, who believe in Jesus, He lives in us, in our inner being! We have the light of life living in our inner being and His light is always shining through us for all to see! Enjoy being a beacon of light in the Lord, for the light in you is Jesus and He has rescued you from death and darkness for all of eternity! Remember that your work is not insignificant for God is doing His work in you and through you in each and every moment of your life! Enjoy serving your God and remember that you are looking forward to eternity in heaven with your Savior Jesus and you have eternal life in Him! Be careful to always present yourself as a workman who is approved and who correctly handles the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15) Serve the Lord with joy in your heart and a smile on your face, for you have been blessed with eternal peace, hope and joy in your Savior Jesus! Always remember 2 Corinthians 9:8 says “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (NIV) So go forth rejoicing in the Lord and serving Him with a thankful heart, for you have all that you need in your Savior Jesus and God will always bless you perfectly with exactly what you need according to His will! Enjoy this day that the Lord has made and enjoy serving your God!
